Dads are famously hard to shop for, and a candle only works if it is the right kind. These are: recycled wine and liquor bottles poured by hand, quote candles that say Best Dad Ever or You Are My Hero without getting sentimental about it, and photo candles you can put an actual picture on. They suit fathers, grandfathers, stepdads and father figures, and they sit on a desk or a bar shelf rather than disappearing into a drawer.
Bottle-poured candles are the strongest pick here if he keeps a home bar — the wider care guide covers burning them properly. And if he asks what is in it, the answer is all-natural wax, explained in our paraffin-free candle piece.
